The main plot.
The bean fence.

Those darned greens!

Tomatoes.

The indeterminate plants. What's the difference between "indeterminate" and "determinate" tomatoes?

A view from above.

Our garden has defeated us already this year. Those tomatoes look great! What are you using, if anything, to keep out the tomato illnesses?

I switched the mulch from composted horse manure to straw. We believe that made the biggest difference. The spider mites are back with a vengeance. There are two plants that are decimated. I will not go to the bother of spraying under the leaves and use insecticidal soap. My folks are eating five tomatoes with every meal every day. We have plenty for whatever we want on a daily basis. This Sunday we will be canning the fourth and fifth loads of tomatoes (seven qts. per load)

Just a few of the peppers we have harvested this year.

We grew three types of peppers this year. All three have different scovil levels.

BEETMANIA!!!
Pulled up all of the beets.

Cleaned up.

Half of the beets were boiled and half were baked. The beet greens were seasoned and cooked.
My new favorite beet is baked with a little olive oil and kosher salt.To Live Is To Eat

We have lantana that grows essentially as a weed. We've cut it up, dug it out, run it over, mowed it down, and it just keeps coming back. We're pretty much at a stalemate with it, which in this case just means we hack it down when it starts blocking the driveway.
