Turkey burgers
I went to the store the other day, intending to get ground beef for burgers, but the price was freaking outrageous. So, dejected at the paucity of funds in my bank account (translation, depressed because I'm broke!) I got ground turkey instead. Then I made it taste like really nice ground beef. Magic.
Ok, only sort of magic. More like cheating. It's this stuff. Superior Touch It worked surprisingly well. I keep it around instead of bullion cubes and use it for soups. I didn't know how well it would work, but at least for grilled burgers it did beautifully. I used the reduced sodium version. I refuse to be embarrassed as it worked.

I use the same stuff but ham flavored in peas, butterbeans, while cooking. I never thought about using it in hamburger. Great idea!

I caught the ground turkey on a good sale, it was I think 96% lean? I just mixed a couple of tablespoons of the beef base into the couple pounds of turkey, added some basic herbs (sea salt, a hint of rosemary, a little dried roast garlic), and grilled up the burgers. My dad ate two. My mother had never heard of the Better Than Bullion, after dinner I had her sniff the jar. She tried to take it home with her. Denied. But I did tell her where she could find it.
I've used the chicken as well for flavoring soups. Now I want to try the mushroom, lobster and chili. Hubby will be fainting when I bring home the ham version, and if they ever make a bacon version he may never leave the house.\\` ` ` ` < ` )___/\

Those bases can be used in meatloaf, marinades, sauces - almost anything, there are several different brands and flavors out there. Some manufacturers produce powdered bases as well as the pastes. And never be embarrassed about buying those products. In some cases I see that and I think "cha-ching."

On another note, you could have used a turkey base to enhance the turkey flavor instead of making the turkey taste like beef.
