HEMET: Fast-food owner nabs McBiofuel Bandit suspects | Hemet and San Jacinto News | PE.com - Press-EnterpriseTwo men suspected of stealing grease from a Hemet McDonald’s were arrested Friday morning, Dec. 28, after a stakeout by the restaurant owner, police said.The owner told police that thieves have been targeting restaurants and stealing thousands of dollars worth of cooking grease, which they sell to recyclers. Restaurant grease can be refined into biodiesel fuel, which has sent prices skyrocketing.

Had a guy here that did the same thing. He would ride around and steal grease from local companies. He would take the grease to his house and make fuel for his trucks. I went to his house on the warrant and good grief what a disgusting mess. State EPA investigated.
