Controversy over people openly carrying guns into Starbucks for "Starbucks Appreciation Day"Supporters of the Second Amendment and gun rights — some carrying pistols on their belts, some wearing camouflage -- made a point of stopping in the local Starbucks Friday to participate in the chain's nationwide "Appreciation Day.''"If not here, where?" said one, Mike Love. "What place is safe?''Many of those stopping at Starbucks for lunch wore T-shirts bearing the name and logo of the Connecticut Citizen's Defense League. As many as two dozen gun supporters stopped in the Starbucks on Church Hill Road by mid-day Friday.Their intention, said Chris Duffy of New Britain, was not to agitate but to take a stand for gun rights and against those who would strike them down.
The founder of Newtown Action Alliance, a local grass roots organization which supports gun control laws, said the group was trying to discourage gun rights groups from holding a "Starbucks Appreciation Day" in Newtown Friday."Our community is still healing and we find it reprehensible that they are picking Newtown to rally," David Ackert said.He said he found it disturbing that "you and your children may be sitting in Starbucks when people carrying guns walk through the door."

Good. We not only need to fight back against the gun grabbers we need to go on the offensive. Do not them try and take away a basic human right'Political Correctness is a doctrine fostered by a
delusional, illogical liberal minority, and rabidly
promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which
holds forth the proposition that it is entirely
possible to pick up a turd by the clean end!'

I'm glad Starbucks supports the Second Amendment and refuses to cave to the anti gun agenda.
