I like the Miami Vice. It is very sweet, so I can't drink much of it. I discovered it while on a cruise to Cozumel a couple of years ago.

It's hard to pick a favorite, but I can occasionally be found with a good margarita (using fresh squeezed lime and orange juices, and sometimes with creme de cassis).

I love Svedka Clementine and tonic with a splash of Grand Marnier.

Sometimes I'll make a Mai Tai (this is the base recipe that I use:CocktailDB: The Internet Cocktail Database | Mai Tai).

Another favorite is Aperol, blood orange juice, orange bitters, and vodka, then top it off with whatever sparkling wine happens to be nearby.

A little history of the Mai Tai.

It was purportedly invented at the Trader Vic's restaurant in Oakland, California, in 1944. Trader Vic's rival, Don the Beachcomber, claimed to have created it in 1933 at his then-new bar named for himself (later a famous restaurant) in Hollywood. Don the Beachcomber's recipe is more complex than that of Vic's and tastes quite different.
Mai Tai - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Here is the Mai Tai recipe I will be using.

    Ingredients:
1 part BACARDÍ 8 Años rum
    1 part BACARDÍ Gold rum
    1/2 part Orange Curaçao
3/5 part freshly squeezed lime juice
    3/5 part Orgeat syrup
    Method:
Pour all the ingredients into a mixing glass. Then add plenty of ice cubes and mix it all up thoroughly. Now serve it up by straining the mix into a glass full of crushed ice. Garnish with a sprig of mint and orange wedge.

I will be making my own orgeat syrup for these drinks.

    Simply Awesome Orgeat
    Yield: 1 Cup

184 g Pacific brand Almond Milk
    88 g Sugar
8 drops (1/8 tsp) Almond Extract
4 drops (1/16 tsp) Orange Blossom Water
A Blasphemously Easy Recipe for the Best Homemade Orgeat | Craft Cocktails at Home

Orgeat syrup is a sweet syrup made from almonds, sugar and rose water or orange flower water. It was, however, originally made with a barley-almond blend. It has a pronounced almond taste and is used to flavor many cocktails, perhaps the most famous of which is the Mai Tai.
