Pulse™ Smartpen Question - Anyone carry it/ is it any good?

I was wondring if one of the vendors has evaluated this gizmo ir carries it - Sounda interesting to me, since taking complete legible notes while people are talking is very hard for me:

Basically it is an indexed audio recorder - As you write, you're creating fast-forward stop points, so if you need to know what exactly someone said as you incorrectly wrote down their phone number, for example, you tap the phone number you wrote down, an it plays the audio of what you were being told at that moment.

And of course both your writing and the audio can be downloaded to a PC, so your notes become links to the audio segment, like a link on a web page.

It also records in stereo from the earbuds, so you an supposedly tell where a voce is coming from (in front of you, behind you, or off to the side) when you play it back.

Interesting tool, but I would suggest learning to do without before you rely on something that will break.

Actually, I'm kind of a techno-geek and it looks pretty cool. I would actually waste money on something like that and not regret it.

Very true, kinda like my GPS receiver that I always take with me so I'll know which street I'm on & what the next cross street is. Without that thing, I never know where the hell I am

But like 121, I think it's a neat idea, even though I have a basic problem spending $149 on a ball-point pen that I'll probably loose.

    I'm also a techno-geek, so I understand the draw.

When you are newer, I always think it is a good idea to memorize basics and develop basic skills.

CAD crashes, MDT's stop working, and even radio and cell phones die.

I see an entire generation of cops that can't function whenever their tech goes away, and it's always been a problem in my mind.

    I totally agree.
Are you a 3%er? If you aren't, you should be.
