Can you tell me more about the quiq lights?

Actually that white LED quiq would have come in handy last night when working on a &(@)% transmission. Trouble light kept rolling away, "trouble" is a good name for it. In a different line of work from the market it was designed for, but hey, always looking to support the site sponsors and this would be practical in many situations if it's bright enough. What's the effective usable (call it text readable for a goal) light range in darkness? Batteries replaceable? Auto off time reprogrammable?

Absolutely! I will (hopefully) answer both of you. First, check out this page, there is some good information including a video. The QuiqLite is designed to go in your pocket and be concealed. It's hands-free and eliminates the old "flashlight under the arm".

They use (2) CR2032 batteries (available almost at any store). Besides the 10 minute auto-off function (not reprogrammable), if you hold the button down for 5 or 7 seconds, it starts to strobe and will strobe for 50 hours!

It's hard to say what the effective readable range is, however, I can tell you that I just closed my office door, turned off the light and was able to clearly see and read the calendar on my wall from 5 feet.

Now that I have had it for a few weeks, I love it! I'm losing my hearing a bit and I can't hear my radio when it's on my belt without turning it up to a level that annoys others. I wear golf shirt style uniform shirts so a shoulder mic is inconvenient. The sound from the Bluetooth is great and I am told that the transmit also sounds good. The Bluetooth is a great solution!
