Christmas Presents- ....
As was posted, one of the members got a Hummer for Christmas.
It made me think about past Christmases and what my wife and buy each other. We usually buy each other one big item. Of course, we also do the stockings with all the little low-cost odds and ends and a few other presents to round things out.
For instance, I already have most of my presents. They consisted of guns and accessories.
I had been bugging her about making up her list so I can start shopping. Last night, she said she wanted a 5-ton dump trailer. That works for me.
Last year and the year before that, I got guns.... and accessories. (I think I'm in a rut!)
I bought her a Kubota Tractor two years back which was pretty expensive and cut back last year- she got a Husqvarna chain saw as her big present. Yes, that's really what she wanted. (You have to understand my wife has her own horse farm and equipment is a high priority for her.)
So, do you guys buy very practical presents or you tend to go for more luxury items?"When a crime is committed, liberals blame society. Conservatives blame the criminal." -Debra Saunders

Your email has me cracking up!!
We don't really have our Xmas's *planned out* per se.....some years are practical, some not so much lol Two years ago I surprised my husband with a trip to NY. He opened up all his gifts in a certain order, all hints of NY. Then the last gift was our airline tickets and a small note that kids were not going with.
We definitely do stockings for each other, and he always gets me a bunch of new PJ's, which I love. He just asked me for my wish list two nights ago. Not sure why so early, not like he is planning on shopping before the 23rd of Dec *sigh***********************

I can't deal with the whole shopping thing if I do it too late. I try to get mine all done before Thanksgiving.

We're generally broke at Christmas, but I make sure I get MrD back to 'Bama to see his family. Our big spending time is when we get our income tax return. Last year, I bought my car. This year, it's going to be home improvement time, yay new bathroom!

I have a severe spending limit on Christmas gifts this year, all of my extra money is going toward a 3 week Hawaiian cruise in January. The timing seemed like a good idea when I booked it, lol.
