Here in Baghdad
Hey everybody! Iraq is great!! Sun, birds chirping , friendly people and the food is the best!!
OK enough propoganda...it stinks....mostly the everyday Iraqi you meet on the street would give you the shirt off of his back, but there are a few knuckleheads that wanna screw up everybodies wet dream.
I've been doing ok here, no action to speak of...just how I would like to spend my time here, bored and not getting shot at. I'll see how long thats lasts though. The food here is catered so it is pretty good and the desert offers the sun...a few more birds would be nice though....get get them from people in traffic though!! Just like Detroit!!
I look froward to coming home..working my easy job in the Detroit VA and having a beer after work everyday. Only about 11 months left to go!! Wish me luck and pray for the men and women in my squad, they follow me faithfully and I would like them to be covered, I get plenty of prayers myself.
