we have these already on our cars.

We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
But instead
Found blackberry riots and
Desiccated branches
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
Skunk cabbage
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion

We dont want them though. We like our little privacy that we have.

same here. Some of our dispatchers will use the map to spot perimeter holes when chasing someone which is good. Of course we dont get it in our cars so we can use it.

I've had more then one unit emergency (mdc activated) and emer button, with no radio response.
Nice to get cover started to the location of the vehicle until you know what's going on.Molly Weasley makes Chuck Norris eat his vegetables.

I used to be a programmer at a company what make GPS mapping systems like that for service fleets - The police actually used our GPS coordinates to quickly locate a telephone service technician who got hurt in a robbery, and his vehicle was also recovered using the system.
Here's their address, but their marketing department sucks - You won't even see any screen shots of the maps unless you sign into the WebEx demos, which are extremely lame - No wonder they went bankrupt once, and are about to do it again - They're hanging on by a shoestring.

The system's kinda neat for alerting for theft of hi-value equipment. You draw a "geo-fence" on the map, and the system will alert you by email or text message if the equipment strays out of the imaginary box.
It's far superior to LoJack Early Alert, because it gives a more timely message, and then you can hop on the internet and see a real-time map of exactly where it is, no special receivers needed - Cops who have MDT's with a web browser can see the map in their cars at the same time - FAR superior to LoJack!!! Like I said, I think it's their marketing department that sucks for not marketing it that way.
It also has reports that tattle-tells on you if you stop longer than 5 minutes at an "off-limits" place like a bar, stayed in one place too long, exceeded the speed limits, etc - the drivers hate them, and often damage or disconnect them, which is why they install a lot of them secretly, out of sight or disguised
