What About China?
I have been listening to these hardcore wingnuts on "conspiracy radio" late at night talking about how evil China really is. Didn't think anything about it until I was in the shower tonite. I got to looking at my bathroom items and then wandered about the house. I looked at 114 miscellaneous items in my house and found that 94 of them are made in China. Now this is by no means a scientific study with a control group and all that, but I got to thinking maybe these wackos are right after all.
So I did some preliminary research on the net and found that China has increased their military spending by about 200% in the last five years. They spend like a fifth of their budget on the military. They recently bought out about a third of the US debt. They have been developing and testing stealth nuke subs (Drudge Report-Chinese stealth sub stalking one of our carrier battle groups). Reports of Chinese illegals getting caught crossing over from Mexico who have ties to Chinese Intelligence, etc.
Look, I don't buy most conspiracies and I know this is not one of those crazy sites where people have aliens in the freezer, some slut pregnant with Bigfoot's child and all that. I'm just saying that I am a professional criminal investigator and I do not make a case with one fact. I make a case with a string of facts that support each other.
Most of this stuff is fact, posted on US Government web sites. The totality of circumstances is leading me to believe that China is preparing for some sort of conflict with and a possible attempted takeover of the United States. Sorry this is so long, what do you think? Scary if it's true.

If it's true it gives me one more reason to pray even harder.

Seems like the media is letting China fly under the radar, while they build up to overtake us as the world's superpower.

My wife got back from China not long ago, and said the average citizen there was friendlier than any other country she has been in. They were so happy to meet someone from America, and would stop her on the street to say hi. However, she said the military folks were scary as hell and wouldn't crack a smile. I have a feeling the people there can be told something, and have no way to know any different, considering everything is censored. It'd be easy for them to be mobilized by the government if they are told to fight us. Shame to see such nice people controlled by such a misguided and selfish government.

China will never attack its best customer. They have nothing to gain and billions of dollars to lose. They are taking over the world economically because they have completely embraced capitalism.
The US is drifting more and more toward socialism. Excessive regulation and increasing labor costs is making us less and less competetive in the world marketplace.
China's military buildup is eventually going to secure its place as the world's only superpower. As I said, they won't attack us. But anytime they feel like invading Tawain or any of their other neighbors, we won't be able to do anything about it."I'm not a coward,
I've just never been tested
I'd like to think that if I was,
I would pass"

We could be building up our military and updating our weapons systems if the government didn't waste so much money on Katrina, and the war in Iraq.
China knows they could never take us over and survive themselves. Their whole country would be a nuclear wasteland.
China is winning an economic war though. All because of sweat shops and kiddie labor.
I'm as worried about China as I am North Korea.

Also China has some of the dirtiest air thanks to their complete disregard for their land and people. I'm definitely no environmental wack job, but I was told you can barely stand to breath in Beijing because they're just pumping out as many products as possible to make a quick buck, and their factories pollute the hell out of the air.
