Attitudes of civilians

This is a very friendly LE site with some really good people on it, however occasionally a few strays will wander in and try to disrupt that. And occasionally a few with an attitude will show up every now and then.

Maybe a good rule of thumb for us civilians to remember is...if we wouldn't say it to a uniformed officer in person...then don't say it here.

If you wouldn't swear to a uniformed officer than why do you swear at one here? If you wouldn't dare show an attitude to a uniformed officer than why would anyone want to do it here? Just because you can't see them doesn't mean the respect doesn't have to be there.

There are plenty of sites that cater to the "I'll show them" crowd. Why not go there?

Again this is a great site for friendliness so let's keep it that way.

Actually, I fully agree.

This is an LEO site.

As civies, we are guests. Our conduct should reflect the dignity and respect of that status. And I, FOR ONE, fully intend to curb my potty-mouth

It is one thing for someone to come here & ask valid questions in a respectful manner. I that case I have found those people are treated with courtesy. On the other hand when people come here to taunt the police that is obvious too. Those people get their back sides handed to them & deserve it.

1) it's not all about you, we've had a LOT bigger problems than you very recently.

Sorry you got off to a bad start... I have only looked at one or two of the posts you're talking about, but all I can say is that if you treat it like water under the bridge, it will stay water under the bridge.
