Happy Birthday / Congrats To LEF -Will & Brad
I was looking at members today and saw that today is the join date of TERM. You know what that means? LEF IS 1 YEAR OLD.
I would like to say first congrats to Brad and Will.
Second Thanks to them, and all of the mods,
Also I would like to thank all of the members! With out the members this site would be an empty place online! The members make this site what it is!

Congratulations to both of you.
I remember, just before the site opened when Brad invited me to join. I was fed up, and pissed off on the LEO site I was on; and Brad was offering something different, and he said something better.
Brad, you were 100% right. Not only is this site WAY different from other LEO forums, it's ten times better.

Yes, it is true, I joined LEF one year ago today. Our official open date was December 5th, 2005.
I would never have guessed in my wildest dreams that a year from my join date, Will and I would be where we are with LEF.
I still remember about a year ago, when Mark (known as "Switchback" on another police site) told me if I didn't like how they did things on that particular site, I should start my own. It was the best advice I have ever received over the internet. Thanks Mark.
Thru it all, I've been slandered, harassed, threatened, had three people call my employer trying to get me fired, and RealPolice.net even offered to send my posts from their site to my employer. Someone from a former department even posted a thread I started in the public area here, onto a local gossip website where I live. Thru it all, I am still standing. I am not going anywhere. I am still here, and I am not going away.
Who would have thought only a year later, LEF would be published by American Police Beat, the Wall Street Journal, not too mention being mentioned on numerous on-line websites, and being the subject of an entire Radio Talk Show one night. The growth we've had in just one year has been nothing short of amazing, and that's because the formula we have works.
We already average more registered members on-line, at any given time, than most law enforcement sites...IN JUST ONE YEAR!!!
We're quickly becoming well known across the world. LEF will only grow to mammoth proportions in the future. We have a good thing going, and it is blatantly obvious. We know what the people want, and we listen to them.
I truly believe we are the best law enforcement message board on the internet. And I know I am not alone in that thought. We've exposed people as phonies ("Star" for example), and even managed to shut one law enforcement website (OfficerResource) down.
We have more great things to come, and some great things in the works right now, which we hope will boost LEF up even more. So hang on, because we're here for the long term, and it's going to be a long, wild ride.
