    Mount Hood searchers give up.

    It's going to be a sad Christmas for the families and loved ones of the climbers, and my sympathy and prayers go out to them.
    It's a shame these young men lost their lives by doing a stupid thing. However, since all 3 were experienced climbers they knew, or should have known, what the consequences could be.

    I agree. While their deaths are tragic, they understood and accepted the risks. Let’s not overlook the other recent tragedies that have received far less fanfare.
