My knickname used to be "Ralphie" because of my physical resemblence to the charactor in that movie. It is a great Holiday classic! I grew up in the 60s, so I can definately relate to some of the things in the movie, even if it's set a decade earlier.

I LOVE that movie!!!!
I get teary when Ralphie takes a stand against the bullies, and his Mom covers for him on the broken glasses.
His ploys to get anyone on his side to achieve his wish for a Red Ryder BB gun.

That is one of the all time classic Christmas movies... Right up there with 'It's a Wonderful Life' and 'Miracle on 34th Street'. I have it on DVD, and we watch it on Thanksgiving to get the kids in the holiday mood... Then of course as soon as it comes on for the 24 hours at least one of the TVs has it running when someone is awake...
I LOVE THAT FLICK! 3 favourite parts are the 'fudge' incident, the flagpole and the thrashing of Scut Farcas... "Daddy is gonna kill Ralphie."
