New Year's Eve...
Well, how're you going to spend New Year's Eve?
Drinking, carousing, raising Hell,
working, attending a church service or a quite celebration with family and friends?
Or, none of the above!?

We are having a couple over for supper, and then we'll spend the evening with them at our house. We'll probably play cards or board games. My wife and I sowed our wild oats long ago, and prefer the quiet. I deal enough with drunken idiots everyweek that I avoid them on my off time.
For the morning will come. Brightly will it shine on the brave and true, kindly upon all who suffer for the cause, glorious upon the tombs of heroes. Thus will shine the dawn.

Well this year I am a "Billy No Mates". Husband and son are in Cancun on vacation, daughter in Spain with friends. So I am on my own, and working on the early shift for the next 7 days including New Years Day, so if true to form, all my prisoners will be drunks or wifebeaters! Deep joy!

Church service. My wild days have been spent years ago. Much to make up for. Everyone stay safe.

I work until 2330...and it's my 12 hour day. I also work New Year's Day, not that I'd be tempted to carouse after work.

Working. Hopefully I won't have to call a taxi with pretty blue and red lights if I stop to help someone out of the ditch again this year while making my way home.

It is a great idea, isn't it? The only problem is what kind of pizza and which movies. I'm a supreme pizza with stuffed crust kinda gal and Cops is an all meat on thin crust kinda guy. I'm into action/adventure
while Cops is into the sentimental stuff.
Can you see the dilemma I'm in?

Will spend it with the girlfriend.

Well, as I have to work from 1930 to 0630 that night, I'll be waiting until I get home in the morning... I'll have a wee dram or two of Oban or Glenfiddich and then go take a nap.

I'll be spending it in my apartment alone. If my roommate decides to come back when she's done with work than she might be here too. We have an old high school friend having a party, but neither of us really like her parties. So pretty much a quiet evening at home.
