    Perhaps because when all is said and done ,and no offense to ANYONE,around the globe,but your Southern people tend to take matters more to the heart ,mom,apple pie etc, mean more to us,yes it is our slower pace(not intellect) just the way we look at life.Country music ,FOR THE MOST PART,is a southern thing.Just my humble opinion.
