Explain it to me please. I have dial-up.
Speeder: Why don't you give me a warning instead of a ticket.
DirtRoadDeputy: Your RADAR detector was your warning!

A lot of the hotels, motels and private homes are installing anti bump locks which are quite expensive but worth it in high crime areas.

I saw this about a year ago, most locksmiths have these keys. They are great to use OTJ if you need to get into a house without kicking it in.

I'm sure those are great at first but those, just like vehicles with number pads to gain entry, can wear off after so many uses. The numbers themselves dull on the buttons so people can obviously tell what numbers are used. If someone wanted to badly enough, I'm sure they could try all sorts of different combinations if they had the time.
I'm still a believer in an alarm system. We have one where if you don't enter the correct code within a minute, the alarm goes off. And yes, we get a call right afterwards asking for our password to see if it was just a false alarm.
And if that don't work, out comes the firearm!

S&W is my friend.
On a side note, look at what they are doing to cars. Very disturbing.
