ive noticed no one is ever in the chat room, is there a shout box or some other place people go to chat?

The Chat Room can become very crowded very quickly. Tonight isn't one of those times, though. Stick around... it will change.

I think it's been slower since the poker room came about. You can chat in the poker room, too, but I think most people are too engaged in the game to talk much.
