Routine Calls???
This is one of the reason taht no call should be considered "routine"

Now we have all been complacent at one time or the other but when a child is involved I am one of the more strict cops.The day you are born is the day you start to die.
Sometimes there is JUSTICE. Sometimes there is JUST US!!!

He doesn't seem to be a quick study.
"Dobkin had been reprimanded in 2004 for incompetence for failing to respond to calls for service, and for initiating traffic stops on numerous occasions without notifying dispatch."
This story makes me think of two other recent threads here on LEF: TXCharlie's call to 911 and the guy who broke down his neighbor's door because he suspected a rape in progress.
2 cases of people not responding as they wished they had because they were warned off. 1 case of non response when he was being asked to. 1 case of response when not needed.
I don't really have a point beyond each being something to learn from and improve on next time.
