What're your plans for Easter?
So, what are your plans for Easter, which is only a week away?
The kids are home for the holiday and many are on spring break, so I would guess some of you will be taking mini-vacations or even long planned ones, to Disney World, a Caribbean cruise, Etc.
Since restaurants will be closed around here, I'm going to try and talk my wife into cooking a traditional Easter meal of roast leg of lamb with mint jelly, mashed potatoes and gravy, fresh garden peas and asparagus. Dessert will be deep dish apple pie ala mode. Oh yes, and jelly beans and a chocolate bunny.
Iced tea and coffee for drinks.
What do you usually have for Easter dinner in your neck of the woods, anything special, or maybe just a cold bologna sandwich?

I'll be writing a paper titled "If the US withdraws based on a timetable will Iraq be a future terrorist haven?"
Unless someone puts me out of my misery before then. Please?

Since my family lives elsewhere I usually have dinner with a friend's family but this year I'm going out to one of my favorite restaurants for brunch.

My son's break started last week, and I took it off....we went to Universal Studios, Disneyland and California Adventure - always a good time. Stayed at a nice Best Western with a pool.
This week, I managed two of the days off, so we'll be hitting the local places - Zoo, Wild Animal Park, Legoland and Sea World.

Sorry about Easter, everyone. I didn't even see him until it was too late.

Since I have nothing better to do, I will probably go over to the chow hall on base...and for $3.50 I will have the Easter Sunday meal which is
Broccoli Cheddar Soup
Assorted Cheese & Meat Trays
Crab Salad
Top Sirloin Steak
Cherry Glazed Ham with Cherry Sauce
Sugar Glazed Yams, Baked Potato w/Toppings, Onion Rings
Corn on the Cob, Green Peas, Sauteed Mushrooms
Cole Slaw, Italian Vegetable Salad, Ambrosia
Cherry Cobbler, Strawberry Shortcake, Easter Goodies!!
can't beat that for $3.50...holiday meals actually taste good over there, and beats cooking when you live by yourself...
