New Truck
I'm thinking about buying this truck. It's a good deal, owned by a friend of mine who is extremely careful with his vehicles and takes great care of them. It even still smells "new".
05 Ford F150 FX4 Supercrew, loaded, 19000 miles, great sound system with a 6 disc changer, 8000 lb Warn winch used twice, aftermarket alarm/remote start with pager notification.
Anyone had any experience, good or bad with a similar truck?

Looks like a nice truck, and it helps knowing the history of the truck too. I havent heard anything bad about it....well except that its a damn Ford!!!!!

I think it looks and sounds great, especially since you know the history of it as BigDawg said. I know that Ford has a bad rep (the whole "Found On Road Dead" and "Fix Or Repair Daily" things, lol), but I've had Ford vehicles for the last several years and haven't had any problems.

Ive had both Ford and Chevy and I've found that the only real problem with a Ford is repair costs. I left off the 75000 mile or 5 year transferrable warranty that comes with it.

I would say get it.....you cant beat knowing the history of the vehicle. And you did say it was at a good price.

I already drive a 99 Z71 4WD, not gonna be much difference. I also forgot to add that it also comes with one of those computer chip tuning devices (cant remember what you call it, gonna have to learn about it) that you can fine tune the engine with. He has it set for the tires he has on it and it and better mileage. I dont drive my personal vehicle all that much.
Really didn't think much about that though, thanksLast edited by Cidp24; 04-06-07 at 04:43 PM.

My dad has the same truck. It is sweet to drive.Feels like driving a cadillac, its so smooth, and quiet. sadly, it doesnt have much balls.
It will have balls if it says "Silverado" on the back. heh heh joking, its a great truck......sadly, it has high gas mileage

The way it's set up right now with the chip computer, it has more balls than my Z71. I was pleasantly surprised. I think I'll like it.
