Vacations
Coming from the UK, can anyone answer where US (and Canadian cops) advertise their rental homes ? Are there publications that Law Enforcement use to advertise homes to one another ?

In my part of the country, there aren't many individuals that rent their houses out for vacation purposes. There are a fair amount of "Bed and Breakfast" places available that are in private homes. If that's what you're interested in, try looking under "Bed & Breakfast" fo a specific area.

Try the Int'l Police Assn. I used to be a member. They have a network of places to stay, or how to arrange lodging while traveling.

LEOs probably don't rent out their homes a lot, since they don't get much vacation time. You'll have more luck if you look on a classified ads list for the general population (like www.craigslist.com ). Don't worry--contrary to what you see in the movies, not all American rental homes are owned by gangsters, psychos, or nuclear-bomb-test-induced mutants!
