I liked it. Thought the ending was a bit too contrived, but that's storytelling.

Historians need not view the film. They'll just become annoyed by all the inaccuracies.

Quite a few points on Mayan culture. The Aztecs and Mayans are mixed together in a mismash. I still liked it. It was a movie, not a documentary.

Damn they tore that movie up. Ive visited Chichen Itza , Ive read alot about Mayans and Aztecs. There is a lot of factual stuff in the movie..

There is a lot which is factual. Like anything, when you know about the topic of the movie you see the faults most clearly.

Just understand the idea behind it, and don't worry so much about which culture was mixed where.

And for that matter as my histrian mother would say..."Historians don't know it all....they weren't actually there."

Bootleg....I prefer to think of it as an acquisition through opportunistic means that fall well within the grey area.
