Simple Solution to Illegal Immigration.

Try this experiment:
Put a bird feeder in your yard and fill it with bird seed.
It doesn't take long before the birds learn that a free meal is in the offing. They come by the hundreds.
Now, empty the feeder. What happens? No more birds.
Take away the free medical care.
Take away the free schooling.
Take away the free welfare.
Take away the jobs.
What happens? No more illegals.

Institue an Illegal Alien tax. Tax them, the people that use them, the people that transport them, etc. Why not? Everything else is taxed.

How about if you can't provide appropriate documents that you are legally here the following happens:
Your employer pays for you to get a "worker background check" just like we do for daycare and other workers. They will be fingerprinted and given a state ID to work. They use this as their number. Remember it's not a state problem, we're just cataloging those who are now hiding.
Then, the employer pays a 25% illegal employee tax on every dollar. This goes into a fund to offset the costs of those who take up benefits.
The employee is taxed regular taxes, at 0 deductions (we don't give them a choice here) PLUS an illegal tax of 25% of each dollar paid. This comes right off the top. These funds also go into the offset fund.
If this employee has any law enforcement contact they are immediately arrested on an "order out" violation (think Vegas strip here, this is like a restraining order "ordering you out" of the strip, in this case, out of the state)
It would help to have a felony statute that applies to illegals. You could think of the DV "enhancer" many states have. DV is not a particular crime, unless it's committed against your spouse / lover, etc... The Illegal enhancer would make ANY crime they commit a Felony.
Problem solved. They are booked for the felony. Because we have them identified we turn them over to ICE and they are deported.
You could even have them sign a waiver for this treatment on their "job permit".
After date xx ANY illegal who doesn't get their job permit automatically falls under the illegal enhancer law, ala Felony for ANY crime.
Oh, and all their SS taxes go to those of us that are citizens. If they want to go through these minor steps and work for .75 on the dollar that's fine with me.

Check this out, did y'all know that our govt. (Australia) have set up a one-for one swap with the US re illegal immigrants? That's right..you get a boat of ours, and we get a truck full of yours.
Apparently the reason is if the detainee's want to come to Oz, send 'em to the states and supposedly it will deter them as they are not going to be granted asylum where they wanted to...that'll work!!?
As all of our have to come via boat..my theory is give them food and fuel and point them towards the horizion. If they make the horizion before the navy scuttles them..good on 'em
