UFC 71 Lidell v Jackson
Don't know if there are any UFC fans here but I am. Here's a run down of the fight.
Lidell has been defeated three times in his career. He has had rematches with two of the fighters who have defeated him, and won both fights. UFC 71 will see Lidell pitted against the only person to have defeated him that he has not had a rematch with.

I missed UFC 70 on Spike the other night because I was at work. I'll be watching the replay tonight but someone already told me that CroCop got KOed!?
On a sidenote I think the best MMA event I've seen was Pride Bushido 1 - amazing fight card with 5 Gracies.

that knock out of crocop was unreal... I thought he broke his knee or at least his ankle the way he fell.
He thought the kick was going to the body and it looked to me like he dropped his elbow to defend there and just got hammered in the head!
It was nice to have the fight on real tv so I didn't have to bribe anyplace to go watch on pay perview lol...http://www.allpoetry.com/Grunts%20Girl
We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
But instead
Found blackberry riots and
Desiccated branches
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
Skunk cabbage
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion

prediction, chuck wins...ill admit i havent seen rampage fight in a while, though i think hes been pretty active in pride. chuck has just been unstoppable recently. hes got unbelievable knockout power, and his style is so unpredictable.
when crocop first came on the scene in k-1 and pride, it looked as if hed never be beat, but that dried up reletively quickly. the dude kicks very hard, but he cant take a hit like most of the other fighters. granted that kick in ufc 70 probably would have knocked out anyone in the ufc, but in general, hes got a bit of a glass jaw comparatively.
by the way, the arlovski fight was the most boring fight ive ever seen.in the warriors code there's no surrender, though his body says stop, his spirit cries...NEVER. deep in our souls, a quiet ember, knows its you against you, its the paradox that drives us all. its a battle of wills, in the heat of attack, its the passion that kills, and victory is yours alone.
the posts and opinions stated by me do not in any way reflect the values, beliefs, or views of my department. they are simply opinions and/or observations which have been developed through my personal experiences. hell, most of the stories probably arent even true...wink wink

I have my money and hopes on Chuck winning.
I didn't see all of UFC 70, I had visitors. But I did see that KO. It was sweet. Bet his knee/ankle hurt for awhile. Looked like he may have hyperextended his knee and possibly ripped ligaments in his ankle. Possibly in his knee too.

i pulled over rampage jackson's brother a little over a month ago. i didn't belive him but he gave the fight date long before it was announced. i can't wait to see the fight.

I'm a huge MMA fan and can't wait to see Liddel kick some ass. I've been a fan of the Iceman for quite a while now...
I unfortunately missed UFC 70 both Saturday night and tonight because I had prior plans so I'm pissed. I'd love to see the Crocop KO, anybody know if it's on youtube or anything yet?!Calm Like A Bomb...

i think it is on youtube 10-42
i seen something about it last night while scanning.
I usually host most of the UFC fights here. my wife works for time warner cable, so we get FREE cable. pretty awesome!
Ufc 70 arlovski fight sucked, both were winded before the fight started it seemed like.
still cant believe crocop, got ko'd. he was predicted to be one of the best, but i agree with tapout, he dried up quick.
i hope liddell gets his ass beat by rampage, either way i think it will be a good fight to watch.
i was happy as hell to see GSP get the boot. that was a awesome fight to watch.

The Kongo and Arlovski fights were boring. The only reason I didn't change channels was because I thought something, anything had to happen... it never did.
The Bisping fight was good. I thought Sinosic might pull out an upset at the beginning of the second round but Bisping just overpowered him.
Gonzaga KOing CroCop wow... I can't wait for Gonzaga to fight Couture! I think he might win. (the KO vid got pulled from youtube due to a copyright complaint)
Liddell vs Jackson will be a good fight. They are both much different fighters than the last time they faced each other. My money would be on the Iceman."never bring paws to a gunfight" - Jenna

As I am reading these posts, we have the Ultimate Fighter 5 on and my whole family is chanting Iceman, Iceman, Iceman. Gee, I think if I go for Rampage, I may get tapped out!!!
Yeah, that CroCop knockout was awesome. He has to have some damage to his knee and ankle.
We were rooting for Bisping and he came through like a champ!!!

Me either, I was torn between Coture and Liddell when they fought, but I'm definetly rooting for Liddell this time.
I personally can't stant the theatrics they are doing in UFC. Jackson is one of them with the dog howling and heavy chain and such. There's other fighters that are worse, like one ass clown that wears a Hannibal Lecter mask. If it gets out of hand it will look like WWE and some people will think it's rigged like wrestling. The fights credibility will be on the line.

One of the officers on my shift just told me Lidell was KO'd in the first round. My son will be crushed.

Me and a couple guys from work bought the PPV event, I put some money on the Lidell/Jackson fight. The guy I bet told me it was too embarrassing of a fight to be able to take my money.
But, it was still an impressive fight. Jackson threw some mean punches, and the one that initially tagged Lidell and put him on the mat was nice.
The first fight was pretty boring, but the next one (forget the fighters) but it ended in a KO in 48 sec was pretty good

rampage did what he said he was gonna do "whoop chucks ass"
i thought the earlier fights sucked. most of them were gas'd within the first round.
Rampage fight was sweet. but i am getting tired of spending all of this money for a 45second KO.YEAH, IM THE BERRIES, AND CHERRIES IN YOUR REAR VIEW MIRROR.
