I'm back
Morning folks...
Just a little notice to let you guys know I am back. I went on the morning of 4/25 for surgery to remove a badly infected cyst from my lower back near the tailbone. Due to how bad it was infected, and the fact they had to go so deep, I was put to sleep for it. I was released same day from the surgery center to spend the next 3.5 weeks at home recovering. No pics of the wound, but it has been left as an open wound to heal. So, the new big ass hole in my back is measured at 5 centimeters deep, 9 cm long, and 3 cm wide. Comes with daily gauze packings. I've been doped up with oxycodone, and I believe the doctor cut nerves down there, because I can't feel a fawking thing (thank god) down there.
So, have I missed anything?

Welcome back and hope you have a full recovery.

A Smile
A smile cost nothing, but gives so much.
It enriches those who receive it,without making poorer those who give.It takes but a moment, but the memoryof it sometimes lasts forever.
None is so rich or mighty that hecan get along without it,and none is so poor but thathe can be made rich by it.
A smile creates happiness in the home, fosters goodwill in business, and is the countersign of friendship.
It brings rest to the weary, cheer to the discouraged, sunshine to the sad,and it is nature's best antidote for trouble.
Yet it cannot be bought, begged, borrowed,or stolen, for it is something that is of novalue to anyone until it is given away.
Some people are too tired to give you a smile.Give them one of yours, as none needs a smileso much as he who has no more to give.

WOW! I know how that can be! I've never had that problem myself but my daughter has had it before. She has been hospitalized for it a few times. Turns out, when you get that kind of infection, once it goes away, it's hard to make it stay away. They'll turn up in other places. Like if you get bit by an ant, or mosquito or something. So make sure you take care of it, wash your hands, clean your bed sheets, and keep the area cleaned. I'm sure you know that already though. Just a little helpfull advice from an "experienced taker carer" of the infected and wounded. LOL

Pilonidal cysts (cysts forming in the pilonidal space under the tailbone) are terribly painful when they abcess. Truth is that most people actually have cysts that form there, but only a small percentage become inflamed and infected. They are the definition of 'a pain in the ass'. Taking it all out of there is the best option when they flare up that bad. Good move by you and the Doc.
Hope you enjoy a speedy recovery. The upside is that after you go through this, it should never be a nuisance to you again.

Exactly what I have. Doctor said it was badly infected and had to be removed, and could not be repaired by simply lancing. Doctor is contacting my insurance company to see if they will pay for hair removal in that area of my body because he said without it, i'll probably have a decent chance at having the cyst come back again. Be damned if I'm going through this again.
Thanks for the well wishes everyone.
