Aside from McDonald’s culpability, Jane Doe blames their living nightmare in part on Quest Personals and wants to hold them responsible. I can only imagine that as a mother, she felt helpless and powerless against a system that would not heed her warnings.

Everyone else's fault. Why should a parent be responsible for their child?

It is amazing to me that no matter how many shows are broadcast on tv , and replayed each week, that every place they go nets so many predators , some of those guys are extra , creepy for lack of better word .. Not to mention the amount who are alleged teachers . No wonder so many are turning to home schooling .

I also think for a certain type/group of parents, the internet became a babysitter for them and they couldnt care less as long as child is quiet and not bothering them . Those types never take responsibility .

About the time this country became so lawsuit happy was when all self-blame went out the window. The two just go hand in hand. "Well its not my fault for anything if I can sue them and win". And as long as judges and juries continue to allow these frivolous lawsuits to continue, so will the "its not my fault" mind set.
