High School Reunions

Well, it's that time of year....the notices are out....who's got a high school reunion coming up?

My 30th is coming up....I guess I'll go. I went to my 10th reunion, but that was the only one.

My mother is going to her 50th back in Wisconsin.

My grandmother's 70th would be this year, but her's was a class of 3, and one of her classmates was her younger sister. (The hidden benefits of 2 older sisters)

The funny thing is, most of my friends in high school were either 1 year ahead of me, or the year behind me, so there aren't that many people I've been eager to see.

My 30th comes up this summer, too. Looking forward to it. The 20th was very mellow, talking about raising kids. Now we're empty-nesters.

I think that will be the same for mine...I'll be odd woman out though...my son is only 11.

I just hope I can get the time off! I can't put in my request more then 90 days in advance.

i was supposed to have my 10th in 05, but it never happened. Don't know if I'd go to my 20th. If I dont' talk to you now, why would I want to see you 10 years from now?

I went to my 10th and couldn't attend the 20th or the 25th. It was more out of curiosity than anything else, my high school was college prep and fiercely academically competitive, it was interesting to see where some of my classmates landed career-wise.

I also attended the 10th reunion of the class after mine because I graduated a year early (a mere child of 16, lol) and had a lot of friends in that class.

If I had the time, I'd attend future reunions, again out of curiosity. The friends I had who were truly friends are still my friends now.

I went to my 11th......yes no one did anything when 10 rolled around. Being that I grew up in New Jersey, but now live in Missouri, hard for me to get involved.
I found the whole experience weird. Most people got fat. Made small talk the whole night.
So my 20th is suppossed to be in 2014.........or 2015, or 2016, or when they get around to it.

I got my 20th coming up. I am planning on going but due to scheduling, it might be hard to make it. I still talk to 3-4 guys from H.S. ONes a trooper in NJ., one tries selling mortgages in FLorida, one lives near me and another owns a auto garage in NY.

My 20th is this year, Im going to try and go. I like to see the preppy snobs who havent made shit of themselves, makes me laugh. they thought they were all that in HS and now they arent anything. I attended my 10th and it took my classmates an hour to figure out who I was because I had changed so much. I was a tall skinny dork in HS. Now Im a tall well filled out dork.....so take that!

I went to one of my ex husbands reunions and decided to never go to any of mine lol.

I went to my 10th and was voted the person who changed the most because I wasn't in prison!. I went to my 20th, and and was met at the door by a 5'10" 350 pound Behemoth that knew my name, and when I saw her name I recalled her as a head cheerleader! At my
30th, there were a bunch of balding, pot-bellied raspy voiced people, and the guys were just as bad! All in all, I felt pretty good about myself when I realized that I've fared pretty well! It seems that most of the jocks had peaked in high school, and life has gone downhill from then on.
