Found an Old Book in the loft.
I've just found a copy of Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe in my loft. Nothing special I suppose, but it has a label inside saying it was presented to a Lizzie Cardell, Of Gillespie Road School for good attendence on June 30th.1900.
I can just about read the print because it is so small! To be born an Englishman, is to be a winner in the Lottery of Life.

You should keep that, try to preserve it as much as possible. Take it to antique road show just for shits and giggles.

I think the first 4 are a match, and list on them is up to $40 in Very Good + condition, any condition less goes for a lot less. Partridge was a large printing house out of London, they turned out a lot of copies of a lot of books. 100 years old isn't that old for books anymore.\\` ` ` ` < ` )___/\

And Shepards we shall be,
for thee, My Lord, for thee,
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,
That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy Command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls will it ever be.
In Nomine Patris, Et Filli, Et Spiritus Sancti.

Well done Ducky. It looks like number 5 in that list. Although this one has a gold crest stamped on the back saying, Prize Awarded by the School Board of London. And the Pic. on the front cover has a woman and slave in it with the womans dress done in a gold colour.
