Best WWII Movie
I am a huge WWII buff. I am most interested in the ETO(if you know what that means, we are on the same page). I have read countless books and seen tons of movies on the subject.
So what is the best WWII movie in your opinion?
Here is my list:
1. Band of Brothers(I know it is not a movie, but it is great)
2. Saving Private Ryan
3. Longest Day
4. Midway(Not ETO, but great never the less)The opinions given in my posts DO NOT reflect the opinions, views, policies, and/or procedures of my employing agency. Just f*ckin with ya big guy. Can't say that I am a big WWII fan, but I did see Saving Private Ryan and thought it was a pretty good movie. And I didn't get to see it very often but the Band of Brothers series was exellent.Last edited by smokey703; 05-24-07 at 10:26 PM.

I forgot about Schindlers list. Saving Sophie Scholl is another great one. It is German with subtitles, but I loved it.
Thanks for the porn titles.

Nice, you are correct sir. My grandfather is 91 and was part of a unit that liberated the concentration cap Dachau. The stories he has are unreal. I really need to document his stories on video before they are gone forever.
He has some great stuff that he took. Nazi armbands and German Army manuals and propaganda books. The opinions given in my posts DO NOT reflect the opinions, views, policies, and/or procedures of my employing agency. Slightly OT here, but ancestry.com recently uploaded a LOT of military records, and they're free to search till June 6 or so. We found my grandfather's draft registration card from WWI (1917) - and he was listed as married. Thing is, he didn't meet my grandmother till 10 years after that, and he never said anything about having been married before. So now I'm trying to find a marriage certificate.

Ok, back to your regularly scheduled program.\\` ` ` ` < ` )___/\
