What Would Muhammad Do?

If this true-to-life image of Muhammad, the self-proclaimed prophet of Islam, offends you more than the murder of thousands of innocent people explicitly in the name of Islam and Allah each year, then it means that you are definitely a Muslim (or at least a well-known type of Muslim) and this page is for you.
As a Muslim, you know that life is full of tough choices. Do you behead or not behead? Have adult relations with your buddy's 9-year-old child...? Take a female sex slave... ?
For followers of the Religion of Peace, it all comes down to knowing what Muhammad did when faced with the same decisions (based on reliable Muslim sources, of course). In fact, the more you know about the founder of Islam the better, even if you aren't Muslim.
Forget all those shifty-eyed apologists, trying to make Muhammad out to be some sort of "Jesus clone" based on a few obscure anecdotes. The prophet of Islam definitely wasn't one to turn the other cheek or keep his worldly appetites in check.
You want the truth? Think you can handle it? Well, here you are then...

I'm a freelance muslim, and to be honest, I don't believe any of those mentioned on the checklist, I became a freelancer the day I came to Cali from Egypt, I think most rules in the middle east are ridiculous, and so does my family, I've read the Quran and some of those on the checklist are ot mentioned, either that or I really have forgotten to read arabic, I do find some things offensive only when they are directed towards me and my family, but there's free of speech, but I just gotta tell you man, there are some good muslims out there...like me...lol.

After I read this I was wondering if we had any American Muslim members that might be offended by that. I know I would be if I was Muslim.

I think many of the "rules" that some perceive as "Islam" are really Arab/Tribal traditions.
Islam is no different then Judaism and Christianity, in that there are all sorts of "sects" that have focused their ideology on some scrap of text to set themselves above their brethren.
The Catholic Church took over the significant pagan festivals it was unable to quash, and painted over the symbolism with it's own mythology. It absorbed and reshaped rituals as it spread across the world.
Islam has done the same. It has codified traditions from other tribes in order to make itself more palatable, and gain new footholds.Molly Weasley makes Chuck Norris eat his vegetables.

You are not al all. I thought it was a very tasteless post. Pretty much calling call Muslims terrorists. Funny I know a cop who is a Muslim and he is a great guy and served in the US Army.
I thought about deleting the whole thread, but I wanted to see what members thought before any action is taken. I do not want my political views to dictate my actions as a moderator. It does not break TOS per say, but it could upset people.
Anyway that is my .02 cents on this. I will let the thread take it's course and will not chime in again, unless it gets out of control. The opinions given in my posts DO NOT reflect the opinions, views, policies, and/or procedures of my employing agency. It is stuff like this that make the rest of the world dislike us that much more. Just my .02cents. I know there is anti-american stuff out there, but I am not going to stoop to their level.

Thanks, Beans. I'm not "super politically correct man" or anything, but I find this ridiculous. Timothy McVeigh attacked America, too. Should we eradicate all white men aged 25-40? What about an "anti-white guy" thread? Don't forget about the Japanese. Those bastards got a shot in, as well.

Its kind of ignorant if everyone all of a sudden just looks at us muslims differently after 9/11. 9/11 was a tragic event that was created by extremists, I have been called Camel Jockey, Sand N*****, Towelhead, Raghead, Terrorist, you name it, dumbasses even ask if I relate to Binladen. The sad thing is all that shit has been said by ex friends of mine. Does it hurt? Yes. When a white person has a confederate flag in their home, does that mean they support the KKK? No. If you walk into a muslim's home and find a prayer rug on their wall...does it make them a terrorist? No. I'm proud of who I am and where I come from but it does not mean I support terrorism which seems to be today's top punch line in comedy standup. But I have been through enough shit to get to where I am today to let anything bother me anymore.

Since when does a post on LEF have to have taste? Personally, I found this funny, and was glad to see our Mod's didn't overreact.

To be the devils advocate and the term "devil's advocate" comes from the Roman Catholic church. When deciding if someone should be sainted, a devil's advocate is always appointed to give an alternative view.
Anyways in every religion there are rules and they are old rules. I know that there are muslim extremists and the fact of the matter is this. I dont know of any other religious sect that has vowed to destroy the U.S other than Muslim extremists. If there were Christian extremists that have done as much damage as the Muslim extremists then I would switch my point of view. Not to be anti anything but thems the facts. Once again EXTREMISTS not every day Muslims. I am not going to be PC about anything, the facts are this. In this time of my life Muslim Extremists have vowed to take the U.S. and U.S. citizens out, they are doing so by IED's Suicide bombers, snipers so on and so fourth. Iran is attempting to develop a Nuc weapon system and has said that the U.S. is against them and the U.S and UN countries will regret what they are doing. I am not going to say that I know what its like to be anything be it Muslim, Jewish, Catholic, Agnostic ect. because I am not one. I know about these religions or followings and believe that there are faults in every one. This is America and therefore people have the right to believe and say what they want. Hell they keep letting Gore spout his global warming crap and they keep letting fat ass mike moore do what he does. No matter your views right or wrong you are able to say and think whatever you want. Like I just did

I would agree that it's tasteless. I don't know any muslims ( i don't think), but obviously not all muslims are bad.
But whatever

How did I guess that someone was going to go there...
Hitler was a demented megalomaniac, who's mind was twisted by late-stage syphillis. Although he often guised his intentions as being "Christian" in origin (to make it more pallatable for the lutheran masses), more and more evidence has been revealed that he was actually a pagan occultist. In fact, many of his staff were confirmed pagans.

Thanks..
As for hating Muslims, how shall I answer this. Lostralian, I don't have any problem with "Muslims", I have a huge problem with Sharia, and Islamic fundamentalism. If you are a moderate, and share my values - ie women are equal to men, and that people should be free to worship who, and whatever, they want then, great. I'm sure we'd be great friends.
If you need the versus in the Qur'an I'll provide them to you. However, you may read them one way, but wahabbists read them for their literal word.
And quite frankly, Loblaw, you are being a prick.Last edited by Cst.SB; 06-04-07 at 09:46 PM.
