Here's a quick background on him:
Born near Lee’s Summit, Missouri, Thomas Coleman (“Cole”) Younger (1844–1916) rode with William Clarke Quantrill’s Confederate raiders during the Civil War, participating in many daring and bloody exploits, including the infamous Lawrence, Kansas, massacre of 1863. Following the war, Younger continued his celebrated career as a desperado, robbing banks and trains with Jesse James and other members of the James-Younger gang. A fateful attempt in 1876 on the Northfield, Minnesota, bank sent Cole to the state prison in Stillwater, Minnesota for decades. There he became a model resident, helping both to protect women convicts during a fire and found the Prison Mirror, a newspaper intended to shed “a ray of light upon the lives of those behind the bars.” Paroled in 1901, Younger successfully sought a pardon, operated a Wild West show with his old comrade Frank James, and lectured on “What My Life Has Taught Me.” Always known for intelligence and coolness under pressure, he published this autobiography in 1903 ("The Story of Cole Younger"), reflecting on the colorful and sometimes violent experiences of “the gentleman, the soldier, the outlaw, and the convict.”
On yahoo, if you search his name, you come up with 2,340,000 hits.
Here is a pic of his gravestone and a picture of him when he got out of prison:

And my dad was a bootlegger during Prohibition. He and his friend (who later became his brother in law) used to sneak booze down from Canada into Indiana. However, he gave it up when Al Capone's gang didn't take to kindly to him invading Capone's territory. Our family still has the pistol he used to carry - an original M1911 (NOT the A version). Still has the green coating on it. Accurate as all hell.
Also, one of my ancestors (Claypoole) came over to America with William Penn.
And they all died poor..... damn it! :D
I've seen a pic of retdetsgt too, and I think he's VERY handsome. ;)Quote:

*goes off to plot assasination in mad queste for power*
Well, I'm related to Frank B. Kellog who teamed up with some guy named Briard to form the Briard_kellog pack after World War I, I tihnk it was but don't quote me on it. The pact basically is like gun-control (so, it's worthless) but he got a Nobel Peace Prize for it.
Also, I am a direct desendant of Thomas Rogers who came over on the Mayflower and then did sometihng important enough to have a society named after him (of which I am a member). I had some ancestors in the American Revolution too, but that just makes sense if my family came over on the Mayflower.
Thanks for the warning...Quote:

The mother supported the family as a hair dresser and Donald worked after school at a gas station. Her dad did manage to get Tanya into show business though.
She played a concert here about 20 yrs ago and I found Donald, he was driving her bus!
I'm not related to anyone even remotely famous, though my wife is a professional artist. I'm waiting for fame and fortune to come her way so that I may learn to live the lavish lifestyle that I know is my destiny!:D
Both President Roosevelts & President Taylor. Other than that, I have no idea.. LOL
My family was banished from Ireland. So here I am.
I'm related to me. That's famous enough. :-D
