Why is LEF so addictive?
Hannibal said that LEF is like online crack, and I totally agree. I can't stop myself from constantly reading and posting in this forum, even for a few days, and even when I'm busy and should be doing other things!

I'm not addicted, just curious to see what I might have missed.

The site has a small town feel where you get to know people and become interested wonder what they're up to.

For me, its the connection with generally like-minded people, who communicate intelligently and openly, but with the sterility of distance and a degree of anonymity. Additionally, I'd certainly have to mention the value of networking with those who face similar environments as law enforcement professionals.

Hell, I'm on my vacation... and in another state right now, and I'm still on here (granted, it is a welcomed reprieve from dealing with my family for the entire week... but, still, I fear that I may be in dire need of a real life).
All the same, if it makes me feel any better, I probably won't be here next week... Hopefully I'll be back in CO by then, and camping somewhere deep in the wilderness (hopefully by a lake in a high mountain cirque, surrounded by moose, elk, bears, mountain lions, and pikas!
