I posted a thread yesterday and you all showed me your thanks and welcome in which you did not need to thank me,I was told to stick around and have fun here but I am trying,however I do not know how to communicate with you all,the reason I came to this site is to make a better class of friends,who will not treat me bad(that pretty much describes the friends I have had so far)....I am too giving and people take that for granted and I am changing that.
Another reason I joined is because I respect you all for putting your lives on the line for us and people need to understand that you are people too,and you have jobs to do and we may not like what you d oin your job but we need to understand if we break laws we need to be punished.

We communicate through our posts... like we're doing now. LEF also has a chat room or you can PM (private message) a member. There's also MSN Messenger, Yahoo Messenger... you name it. In fact, I can personally call several members. BTW, I'm not Rhino, but I won't tell him I answered his question if you won't.

Thanks, Womby but I can't take credit. It was originally a line by Gen. Norman Schwartzkopf talking about terrorists- "Forgiveness is between them and God- our job is to arrange the meeting."

A similar line was used in the remake of Man on Fire- which is a totally badass movie.

Melissa , It sounds like you are wishing for immediate friendships and fun , probably more in person than just typing back and forth .

The board is full of really great and awesome people , here we are able to have discussions, vent opinions and post topics and get replies , etc etc , and there is alot of humor in many threads which on a forum board is where the fun comes in , in different ways .

While i think it is great that you reconize and wish to change things in your life for the better , may i suggest respectfully , that while you get to know people on here and exchange opinions thoughts and humor , that you also consider maybe joining a civic group , church group or whatever kind of group your interested in locally to make more in person friends and that will give you the best of both worlds , a great bunch of online friends and in person friends . just a couple of ideas ...

Well, I went to the link supplied to me above, and the "nevermind" thread was voted to be the best thread ever. So, hopefully I've made a worthwhile contribution by being an "A-HOLE", and someday this thread can make less sense than the original "Nevermind" thread! I'll be famous at last!
