I helped a young man out today!
So this youngin buys a sport bike last year. The other day he gets stopped by the police doing all sorts of stupid things and ends up with a couple of thousand in fines. I offered to by that mean old machine that made him do those illegal things!
I'm such a giver!!!
These aren't pics of the actual bike, but it is the same year, style and color, or colour for you foreign folk.

Believe it or not, it hasn't been laid down while moving. It has taken a spill or two while parked, but that is fine with me. I will end up buying a left side mirror though. It does come with new front brake pads, frame sliders, oil and filters , license plate mount and mechanics manual.
PS. PLEASE don't tell my wife. I guess now I have to buy her a friggin mini van.

Nice ride and that color is sweet! Got a matching helmet? Gives you an excuse to get a fresh brain bucket

Ummmmm, he wouldn't maybe have a Harley sitting around he may want to get rid of?
I'd be willing to do my share. (Toward helping this poor, unfortunate lad out - - - of course.)

My preference in street riding gear would be ICON. Great stuff at good prices. Can find some good deals on EBAY. If it was bigger than a 750, I might have to join the club of do-gooders and offer to take it off of YOUR hands. Sold my CBR-1000 when I moved from sunny So Cal to the sticks...
500 fights, that's the number I figured when I was a kid. 500 street fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate tough guy. You need them for experience. To develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then, after, you realize that's what you are.

A couple thousand in fines? If he was going that fast he may as well have kept going until he got to the next state

That's a nice bike. Does run on Minute Rice or Uncle Ben's?

I'm probably going to be buying a Honda within the next year or so. I think HD's are way over priced for the quality of their bikes. Definitely overrated. But I do prefer cruisers over crotch-rockets, yes.

06-19-07, 07:17 AM #16Wait, how'd we get on mowers?

For mowing, I chose the John Deere too... (my Ztrak makes two acres absolutely effortless, bad thing is I can't get my kid off of it long enough for Dad to have a turn).John Deere 322 FTW!
