Do you really want the public here?
Does LE actually enjoy having general public interaction on these police forums or are the "ask a cop" and public sections more annoying than interesting?
(inquiring minds want to know.......

Im not an offical LE yet but I can say that in the ASK A COP section, people just ask the same damn questions over and over and over.
Without the "general public" we wouldnt have a job so I would say that I personally dont mind since I am considered one for the next 3 1/2 weeks. But it is also a way for honest "general public" to get answers to serious questions they may have about how the system works or things of that nature.
But then again you have teenagers saying that cops suck and we harass people.
Either way im cool.

Doesn't bother me a bit - in every collection of dumbass questions, there's usually a few good and well-thought out ones.

Good to hear. I suspect alot of silly or dumb questions will or have been asked but if it changes the perspective of one citizen to be more positive towards LE then it seems worth it. Continuing along the lines of citizens and LE interaction, what do you think about citizens police classes that some towns put on? Would you teach or have they been found to be a waste of time in educating the public on LE?
