Life's Lessons
Just felt like I needed to post this tonight for everyone. Make sure you hug the one you love and make that phone call you've been putting off to just let someone know you care about them.
Just got back from spending the day and evening with my best friend at the hospital. Her dad went into cardiac arrest today and was down for about 20 mins before they could bring him back. They're not sure if he's going to survive the night and if so, if his brain is still active. He's only 50.
It only takes a second, to wish you had two seconds back.

Thanks Autumn, hope he pulls through without to many complications.

I know where you're coming from.
My wife lost her father at the age of 50 to an aortic aneurysm a few months before we were married in 1998.
Doesn't sound to good. Your friend needs all the support she can get.
I hope he pulls through and send all my best.

I hope he pulls through Autumn. If they were doing CPR during that whole time, then he has a chance however small. I'd take those odds over zero.

I know the feeling, Autumn! My father suffered his second heart attack at the tender age of 49. As a truck driver he was on the road near St. Louis at the time. Paramedics were unable to get to him in time and he never regained consciousness... he was removed from life support a week later. I received the phone call Valentines Day 1989... a day I will never forget.
I love you dad and think of you everyday!
Thoughts and prayers en-route, Autumn!

To update, he made it through the night last night which is more then a lot of the Dr's were saying yesterday. They believe he did suffer a heart attack. They're still not sure on brain function, but the fact that's he's still alive and fighting is a good sign. Thanks for the prayers everyone.
