LEF names
i am just curious why everyone choose the name they did for LEF.
K9max = i choose this because max was my first K9. I use his name on a regular basis.
Max is sadly missed by my family, and I.
so, tell me why you choose the name you did.

Bird is what my friends in high school called me. Why they called me that is a funny story which i won't go into right now.

One of my friends has a now 9 year old daughter who loved the Powerpuff Girls cartoon (for those who don't know, they are three little girls who fight crime and have superpowers). Whenever I'd visit, she'd get me to play Powerpuff Girls with her and she'd always be Bubbles because she's blonde, her mom would be Blossom, and I would be Buttercup, because I'm a brunette. So, she nicknamed me Buttercup and even gave me a tiny Buttercup character keychain, which I still carry. Plus, I love the film "The Princess Bride."
I used the name on a few other sites and when I came here I kept the name so those I knew here would recognize me.

Aegis was the shield of Zeus in Greek mythology. It's also the name of a wicked cool gatling gun style point defense system on some US naval vessels.
Since Aegis means to shield or protect, and that's what I do, I thought it would make a good handle.

Crimebytes2 was the sister BBS (Bulletin Board System) to Crimebytes (a citizens crime watch board) located in Miami, Florida. The Sysop, a now retired Lieutenant (33 years) with Metro Dade (now Miami Dade) is a very good friend of mine. For those of you who aren't familiar with BBS's...

I've used my real first name at other sites, but I wanted something more anonymous here. So I picked something that popped into my head. If I ever get hired as a cop, I'll probably change it, but it's okay for now.
