The marines are a special breed of people. Just as SWAT and Bomb guys are a special breed of people. If you think you have what it takes get a move on and get in there and do it. If you are having second thoughts on it then its probably not for you. Your gut instincts will tell you where to go and what to do.
Indy its ok things will be ok. Loosen up take some clothes of and join the party
.
Pac I need another Jack and Coke bro my glass is empty.Being the best is not what always counts. What counts is always trying your best.
Remember who you are, and where you came from. That way you never get a big head.
May those that lost their lives in 9-11 RIP, for the things you did not many could do. You left so many behind so that you could save so few. For now we stand strong as one, and will not look back till the fight is done. (me)

Indy,
Pacman summed up part of my desire. The padded resume is just a little part of the reason. I'd like to know if I have what it takes. A few people seems to think that I don't. Doesn't matter to me either way what people think, but I think I do. I've served in the Army and I've been around and I'm telling you that there is a fellowship that Marines, active and retired, have that others don't. This is also part of the reason I want a LE job. I like a paramilitary setting where you and your coworkers are squared away. You don't get that working with highschool age kids and 60 year old coots. That's a bigger reason than the resume. I have never said that I wouldn't move but not until I exhausted every possible option here. Which I haven't.

01-26-06, 12:00 AM #37Indy GuestScrew 'em. I don't know you personally, but your steadfast determination speaks volumes about your values IMHO and I think you'd make a fine officer. I can't for the life of me understand what is holding them back from hiring you.
