Day One in Private Investigator Class
Well, I just started my PI intro course today (class 1 of 6), part of a neighorbing city (Plano's) continuing education series - What a hoot! Best $75 I've ever spent. Love the instructor too (he looks and acts like Matlock - no joke).
It's my "backup plan" in case I don't make Police Reserves' physical requirements, or can't get a decent-paying civil job in the PD - but the more I think about it, the better it sounds, at least to earn some spare pocket change. The money sounds pretty good for the people that are good at it, so maybe I can just quit by boring old "day job" after a few years - WOuldn't that be nice, but I'm kinda gettin ahead of myself here :D
Have any of you guys done any PI work? It sounds like it can be rewarding, but also very tiring doing record searches and survelance, and potentially a lot of dry holes that pay nothing - but I guess that's a problem with every self-employment business.
Now after a night ike that, I sure hate to go back to work this morning.... I must be gettin old if sitting in a class for two hours is the most exciting thing I've done all month :(
