Ok, so how many of you guys fish?

I did quite a few years back, but it's been awhile. I also had only gone trout fishing. One of my co-workers took me salmon fishing the past few days. I had a blast. Plus, nothing like eating a fish that was swimming literaly less than an hour before. I caught a king, but had to cut the line because kings were just out of season (but they were running big time. My friend caught a couple silvers and gave me some of the meat.

I've never fished, but I should probably learn in preparation for when some disaster knocks out the food system.

213th I fish weekly at Lake Mead. I also make lots of trip to go deep sea fishing. Post pics. Id like to see your cawk. Ive been to Coos Bay Oregon and caught a nice king there. Same thing with the silvers though Catch n Release!

Maybe I shoulda...I didn't catch a damn thing but my friend did...Well, actually, I did catch a train trestle...twice. The bank countless times. I also caught submerged trees, branches, almost caught a beaver. And I did catch a buzz...five or two times

I haven't been deep sea fishing yet, but I want to go for halibut, one of the best damn fish I've ever had.

Believe it or not, I don't have any pics. I didn't have a camera that I wanted to risk damaging, and seeing as I was waist-chest deep in water most of the time...

ahh...we were standing in the middle of the river. Glacial water is COLD. and very strong current. I was sore after three days

Didn't you use chest waders? I know they're not perfect, but staying dry is half the battle.

I want to go ice fishing again.

love to fish. when I lived in texas I went fishing 4-5 times a week and deepsea fishing 2 times a month. now I hardly get to go. I did get to let my 5 yo son fish for a little while last weekend and he caught a little brime by himself. dynamite works well just make sure the you have a net to scoop out the fish.

Nope...waders are overrated. or so i thought

JLK-thats awesome. And yes, I did suggest dynamite. It didn't go over very well, plus the state troopers were out in force and I think they might take exception to that...
