It is Harry Potter book release day!

It is finally here, the day my copy of Harry Potter Book 7 should be at my door step when I return from work today. I pre-ordered it in Feb.

So were there any riots in the streets among people waiting in line to buy the book?

Why is the Harry Potter series so popular? I think they're cool books, but I don't know why they're so much more popular than all the other cool books out there. That said, I've been looking forward to this final book too, mainly because of all the hype on the internet. I just read the plot summary on Wikipedia.

One of my friends went to NY yesterday to wait in line for the book's release, she's staying in a hotel there for the weekend to read the entire book uninterrupted.

I tried, but I just can't get into the books.

Omg I'm right with you Beans!! I'm so excited!! I was going to go Wal-mart last night after I got out of work at midnight but I was sooooooo tired and my bed won the battle. I'm heading to the gym then Wal-mart to get it.

I just walked to the grocery store and on the streets I saw people of all ages, genders, ethnicities, and socioeconomic statuses walking around carrying Harry Potter books and sitting in cafes reading Harry Potter books. It was surreal.

Harry Potter who?

Reading has always been a passion of mine; however, since starting college I have very little time to read anything other than my texts. If I did have the time, though, I would much prefer to read something a little more on the interesting/challenging side.

My store did $1600 worth of Harry Potter this morning. We had a party and everything, and the only thing I can say is YAY! It's finally over! I like the books, they're cute. But I've been hearing about the 7th book Every Day for the last 2 years, and I'm just glad that my part in it is over. I'll snag a copy when someone brings a used one in (less than a month, probably) but right now, I'm just going to relax and enjoy some quiet time.

We just got our copy of Deathly Hallows at Wal-mart after seeing Order of the Phoenix at the theater. My wife is a voracious reader so I am sure that I will hear about it when she is done.

I just want to know what happens in the end. I never read the books or got into the movies....I'll watch them later.
