What were you like in high school?
What were you like in high school? Were you a jock, geek, loner, weirdo, prom queen, punk, troublemaker, or class clown? What activities did you participate in? What kinds of friends did you hang out with?
In high school I was a major geek (as I still am
), and hung around mainly with other geeks. I was involved in the school newspaper, yearbook, debate team, and several community service clubs. There were over 3,000 students in my high school, but I just hung around with about 60 other geeks with similar interests and aptitudes. Our school segregated students based on placement test scores, so all the geeks took all the same advanced placement classes together, and participated in the same activities. Most of us ended up following predictable paths through college and careers. I sometimes wonder what became of the non-geeks in the other classes, with whom I seldom interacted.

You forgot Book Club. I was the Vice Pres my Sr year
There’s a promise I need you to make
While I’m gone you take care of the love
And I’ll deal with the hate.
Don’t worry about me; I’ll be all right
Just care for your children and sleep tight
I’ll keep you safe on my watch tonight

I hated high school. I didn't have a lot of friends since I chose to not drink. smoke and ditch. I was an honor student and played basketball and field hockey. Graduated early since i had enough credits. I have never even TP'd a house. I was a good ol girl! May explain why I tend to be a bit more risky and bad now

In high school, I was a co-captain of the volleyball team. I was the starting catcher on the fastpitch softball team. I received all kinds of awards like All-state(4x),All Conference(every year), All Tournament. I won a special award from our TV station. I was high school athlete of the month. I got a special interview and everything. My whole wall is covered with awards. While in school, I played on two traveling softball teams. I was the MVP of the Lookouts, and the other team I played for had sophomores in college that played for their schools. I was one out of two high schoolers that made the team. I could have played at a couple colleges, but some didn't offer my intended major. As far as clubs go, I was in Senior Beta Club, Octagon CLub, SGA, Monogram CLub, and I was the vice president of my class.
Those were the good 'ol days!

I was in band, 1st clarinet. Other then that I was harassing the teachers and staff or stayed mostly to myself. Got a kick out of the kids who thought because mom and dad had a lot of money they'd just buy their way through life. Reality must of been a bitch when the real world came knocking.

The man who will go where his colors go, without asking who will fight a phantom foe in the jungle and mountain range, without counting, and who will suffer and die in the midst of incredible hardship, without complaint, is still what he has always been, from Imperial Rome to sceptered Britain to democratic America. He is the stuff of which legions are made. ...His pride is in his colors and his regiment, his training hard and thorough and coldly realistic, to fit him for what he must face...and his obedience is to his orders.
