New sporting goods manager = 1,000 boxes of .45acp ordered!
Our Chief usually goes to Wal-mart for his bulk purchases of ammo. Well, they have a new manager in that department and she thought that 1,000 boxes was the same as 1,000 rounds!
They called him yesterday to let him know his order was in. When he went to pick it up yesterday, there sat 1,000 boxes of .45acp Blazer Brass!
The funny thing is he originally ordered 2,500 rounds but was told it wouldn't be in until Jan, so he dropped his order to 1,000 in hopes of getting it sooner. Can you imagine 2,500 BOXES of ammo? that is 125,000 rounds of ammo!
So, if you are in IA and need ammo, head to the Wal-mart in Iowa City.

Even if she doesn't know anything about guns, how could she possibly think that ammo comes individually packaged? That'd be like going to the grocery store and buying one Cheerio."I'm not a coward,

I would pass"

The man who will go where his colors go, without asking who will fight a phantom foe in the jungle and mountain range, without counting, and who will suffer and die in the midst of incredible hardship, without complaint, is still what he has always been, from Imperial Rome to sceptered Britain to democratic America. He is the stuff of which legions are made. ...His pride is in his colors and his regiment, his training hard and thorough and coldly realistic, to fit him for what he must face...and his obedience is to his orders. He has been called United State Marine.

Maybe she thought they came individually wrapped like some other safety related items.
