How does your LEF personality/role differ from how you are in real life?

My LEF personality is similar to my real-life one, with one big exception being that in real life I'm always talking about my job, and on LEF I try not to talk about my job at all.

My role on LEF, however, is very different from my real-life one. I express the same opinions on LEF as I do in real life, but on LEF those opinions cause me to be seen as a leftist firebrand, while in my real life the same opinions are seen as moderate and unremarkable because they are similar to those of most of the other sheep in my leftist herd.

On LEF I'm seen as clueless, but in real life I'm seen as competent.

On LEF I stand out, but in my real life I blend into the scenery. People who have worked with me for years still sometimes forget who I am, and call me by the names of other women of similar age and status who are also trying to fly under the radar.

I'd be mortified if people in my real life responded to me the way people on LEF do, but I like hanging out at LEF precisely because it shakes me out of my rut and reminds me that I still have much to learn.

I'm a lot quieter here than at work, but LEF is my chill down and relax time! Makes a welcome change from battling lawyers, and advising people of the error of their ways!

I think I'm pretty much the same. Sometimes it's hard to express humor in writing because the other person could get the wrong idea, get pissed or get their feelings hurt. I much prefer face to face.

I have to agree with Sara 100 %!!! I would tend to think that yes, I'm pretty much the same on here as I am in person.. but some times conveying things in writing vs. the actual words that pop out of my mouth, I guess it would kinda go like this ....As long as I'm typing I'm having to think what I'm typing, when I'm talking sometimes the mind wonders and presto something stupid pops out, LOL!!
