Niece to daughter
Well today's the day. At 1100hrs we go to court and see if we can Intrafamily adopt my niece we've had since she was 3mo. old. Don't know if the bio parents will show but we have an attorney and are ready to battle. Wish us luck.

It's Mommy and Daddy. Always has been. She really doesn't know any better. She's heard our children call us that and just followed suit.
It's not as if we haven't tried working with the bio parents (my wifes brother and the childs mother) but they refuse to give up their lifestyle. Crackheads. Both of them. And worse. I refuse to let the child go back to that life. We tried visitation but the father keeps going back to jail for drug charges.
