Phobias..got one?
Well I was just freaked out..

Sitting here, happily reading a thread when I see the avatar belonging to Rob84, a damn clown with big teeth. Clowns..I hate 'em, so much to the point where I flattened a guy in a clown suit on duty on time as he wouldn't leave me alone (not a good career move).
But it seems that I'm not the only one with a clown phobia, another guy on my crew has it also!
Does anyone else have a strange phobia? Be honest now! If you want to see a 6'2", 90kg cop run like a little girl
..send me to the circus.

I'm scared of blood. I've fainted when getting blood drawn. Even the sight or smell of raw meat makes me nauseous.
I'm scared of insects, even though I played with them as a child.
I'm scared of heights while crossing bridges or climbing stairs or ladders, but strangely not while in an airplane.
I'm scared of Terminator.

I'm scared of heights if I'm connected to the ground (top of a tall building, cliff, towers) but I'm fine if I'm in an airplane- even a two seater. Other than that, none that I have come across yet.
And bird1, that was just WRONG.

i went as far as buying the suit that they put on thats has the floatation device all around them, and the arm floaties as well.
my wife gets so damn mad at me, because i worry about that so much.
put me in a fight on the front line, put me in a burning house, i dont care, i just dont like it when my kids are in a pool.YEAH, IM THE BERRIES, AND CHERRIES IN YOUR REAR VIEW MIRROR.

Amen brother. We have a family place at a private lake in the county. On the Fire/Rescue side of my life I have pulled one little kid out of the murky water at another place and it was 1 too many for me. My kids don't go in front of the lakehouse or within 100' of the water without a ski-vest on. The one time we went down and had a get together I was out on the jet ski and cruised by to see my two year old standing at the edge of the dock looking down while everyone else was watching me. I whipped the ski sideways and headed for the dock screaming at him to get back and my wife for taking his vest off.
On another note I absolutely cannot stand large birds. (No bigbird jokes, it don't work) Turkeys, Buzzards, etc I farkin HATE em. One of my friends had a farm and had a wild Turkey that would sit on the porch and greet people. I thought it was fake until it moved and I damn near went berzerk on the thing."Like" us on facebook! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Offic...93147194083228

I don't like clowns either.
My big fear though is I can't stand water when I'm either on a dock, or in a kayak, canoe. Mostly its just when I can't see the bottom. It just scares the shit out me.There’s a promise I need you to make

That will cure with a couple of dives where you can't see your hand in front of your face. I've dove with friends and helped with Dive Team Ops, but I'm just a top tender. I couldn't dive with the team unless it was soley for evidence recovery. Search and rescue shit is not for me. As stated before I was on the little kid drowining and it was enough for me to say nope. Now I just hold the ropes and help from the top."Like" us on facebook! https://www.facebook.com/pages/Offic...93147194083228

Snakes. And I ain't kidding. No snakes of any kind in any way. Not on tv not in person not in pictures. I have and will continue to draw down on any person who comes near me with a snake that ignores my commands otherwise. I have been known to shoot. I sunk an ex friends aluminum boat when he hit a tree with an oar and knocked a snake into the boat. 7 rounds from a .45 to the boat floor and it went under. And yes he knew better. I don't do snakes!

Bats Ever since I was 8 years old and while swimming at night in a friends pool and a bat flew around to where we could not get out of the water. The only good bat is a dead bat.

I dislike clowns and mimes, but I'm not afraid of them. I am afraid of fire and being on ladders terrifies me.
