What does this phrase mean?
Was stopped by a US tourist earlier today, just general banter whilst waitingin a store for lunch. On parting, this guys has cracked off a "yeah, holler at your boy"...WTF?

Makes no sense, we'd heard the term before. Is it "Holler" or "Hollow" and whose "boy"? Might be US thing, I dunno, but it had us stumped. Can someone shed some light on this?

Holla. The word is holla.
Has multiple meanings.
(1) gimme a call sometime
(2) Give a mutual friend a call
(3) let a mutual friend know that someone is trying to get in contact with them.
Better? It is a dumbass saying used by the younger generation. Honestly, makes not much sense to us either. And Shepards we shall be,
for thee, My Lord, for thee,
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand,
That our feet may swiftly carry out Thy Command.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls will it ever be.

Maybe this instructional video will help you with your quest for ebonics translation

It means "I'm an enormous douche, and I'll say anything I hear on MTV in order to appear trendy and, as a side effect, ignorant."

You may have heard it wrong. It was probably "Yeah, Holla at you bud".

It is youth slang used by some teenage douchebags. Personally, I have no idea what it means but hear it all the time.

Basically it means:
"My mother should have beat my ass more when I was growing up, not let me watch BET, not let me think I'm Tupac, and put a fucking book in my hand instead of a basketball."

This makes me smile. No offense or anything. But yeah, basically what everyone else said. Basically to call or catch up with later on.
May you rest in peace Daddy and may you never hurt again. I love you and miss you and can't wait to see you again.
