Sam Adams Octoberfest
I bought a 12 pack of Octoberfest bottles last night. I am convinced that this seasonal beer is the Nectar of the Gods

I actually have a bottle of Cherry Wheat in my fridge. My brother-in-law gave me a couple the last time I was in Chicago. Good stuff!

I went to the store with the purpose of buying some SA Octoberfest, but the bastards didn't have it in the cooler. Who the hell puts beer on the shelf?
Anyways, I picked up some Leinenkugles Creamy Dark and I loved it!
I'm going to try some Fat Tire tonight!

Mmm......beer. Sam Adams is some good stuff. Gotta love the Newcastle Brown Ale too!
It's better to be judged by 12 than carried by 6.

We dallied under
Vine maples and sapling alders
Searched for lady slippers
But instead
Found blackberry riots and
Desiccated branches
An old skid road
Brought ghost ferns and
Hollows filled with
Skunk cabbage
While waves wrapped
Intricate lacings of weeds
'Round mule spinners
His cyanotic eyes
Were hard enough to make
The sun turn tail and
Tender enough to attract me
To his world of illusion

You know I read this darn thread when it first came out and thought..."note to self...try this beer". Well, I went out tonight and they had it on tap at the place I went for dinner and wouldn't ya know it....I AM ON CALL AND CAN'T DRINK.

I am hoping to give it a try at some point. And some of these other beers....fat tire???? Where the heck do you find this stuff? Love beer...good beer...not the watered down stuff most drink.Never be afraid to do what's right, especially if the well-being of a person or animal is at stake. Fat Tire is the SHITE..definately not a watered down beer
500 fights, that's the number I figured when I was a kid. 500 street fights and you could consider yourself a legitimate tough guy. You need them for experience. To develop leather skin. So I got started. Of course along the way you stop thinking about being tough and all that. It stops being the point. You get past the silliness of it all. But then, after, you realize that's what you are.

Looks like the closest LISTED store is in Praire Du Chein. So if I ever make it up to Cabelas...
I may go down the street to the high end liqour store and see what they have.

Spotted Cow from the New Glarus Brewing Company ain't too shabby either. Only problem is that I can't find it here in MN

Schell's Brewery in New Ulm, MN makes some great seasonals too. They make an Oktoberfest that is better than Sam Adams, in my opinion. They also make a brew called "Snowstorm". It is different every year, sometimes good sometimes not so good.

If any of y'all get to the Boston area, ya gotta go to the Sam Adams brewery for a tour. The brewery can be a little tricky to find but well worth it. Of course, part of the tour includes free samples ... and I'm not talkin' about little sips, either! Bring a designated driver 'cause there's plenty of sampling to be done!!!
